OnBoard Outsourcing

Junior Voice & Network Associate

Philippines

Position Overview

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Voice & Network Support Associate to join our frontline technical team. In this role, you’ll help support the delivery of business-grade internet and voice services, troubleshoot basic faults, and assist more experienced engineers with complex tasks.

This is a customer-facing support role, so we’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, thinks on their feet, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. Whether you’ve got some experience already or just love networking and voice tech — we want someone who’s ready to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for both internet and voice services.

  • Triage and troubleshoot basic issues (e.g. connectivity problems, SIP registration, DNS failures).

  • Assist with service provisioning (nbn, VoIP, number porting, SIP handset setup).

  • Use internal tools to monitor services and respond to alerts.

  • Log, update, and resolve tickets in line with SLAs.

  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with clear handover notes.

  • Contribute to documentation and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Communicate with customers and partners via phone, email, and chat.

Who You Are

We care most about attitude. You might not tick every technical box — and that’s okay. What matters most is:

  • You love solving problems and figuring out how things work.

  • You’re calm under pressure and take ownership of issues.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently, even when you're unsure.

  • You’re curious and always looking to learn something new.

  • You enjoy working as part of a team and helping others succeed.

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • 1–2 years in a support, service desk, or helpdesk role — preferably in telco or IT.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VLAN).

  • Basic knowledge of VoIP/SIP technologies and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to use basic troubleshooting tools (ping, traceroute, packet capture).

  • Excellent English communication (spoken and written).

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation habits.

  • Comfortable working independently from home.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Australian nbn or SIP-based voice systems.

  • Exposure to network hardware (e.g. Mikrotik, Juniper, Fortinet).

  • Experience with 3CX, Asterisk, or Microsoft Teams voice integrations.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix, PRTG, LibreNMS.

  • Certifications (CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, CCNA) or working toward one.

  • Basic scripting or automation interest (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

What You’ll Get

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • A supportive team committed to helping you grow.

  • Hands-on experience with real ISP-grade systems and voice platforms.

  • Training and mentorship from experienced NOC engineers.

  • Industry exposure and career development opportunities.
